When Sally and Adam first got in touch with me about their outdoor tipi wedding in Leicester, I was so excited – they were planning the most relaxed tipi wedding with a religious ceremony, a live band and even a homemade cocktail bar. Sally and Adam seemed like the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

I turned up at the church, where the groom and his friends were waiting for the bride to arrive, and it was really chilled because everyone was in a good mood. Sally wore a simple and romantic white wedding dress and Adam wore a grey blazer and a gorgeous bow tie and they looked so beautiful.

The wedding took place in Leicester and was an intimate church ceremony. They had personal vows they wrote themselves, which was just magical. After the ceremony, there was a big cheer from everyone, and then we all got on the party bus to the reception.

The wedding reception took place at the farm in Leicester, which they’d decorated with lots of herbs and festive lights. It was so unique.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests played lawn games, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photo from our portrait session is the one when the couple is dancing with gorgeous romantic sunset light.

During the reception, they had a live band, which gave the afternoon a really chilled vibe. For the wedding breakfast, an amazing Italian oven-baked pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. After the wedding breakfast, everyone enjoyed the free bar to the max, then the couple had their first dance and everyone hit the dancefloor.
