Documentary wedding photographer Nottingham

When Marie and Tom first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so happy – they were planning the most relaxed countryside documentary wedding photographer Nottingham with a religious ceremony, a homemade cocktail bar and even a live band. Marie and Tom seemed like the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The first look

I started shooting at The church, where the bride and the groom had their first look, and it was really exciting because everyone was in a good mood. Marie wore the most amazing satin Maggie Sottero wedding dress and Tom wore Hugo Boss suit and they looked so perfect.

The ceremony

The wedding took place in Nottingham and was a traditional religious ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which was so unique. After the ceremony, they walked down the aisle together and were showered with colourful confetti, and then we all got on the party bus to the reception.

Relaxed tipi farm wedding reception Nottinghamshire

The wedding reception took place at Marie’s best friend farm in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Marie decorated the tipi herself, with handmade origami and fresh flowers. It was so wonderfully personalised.

Outdoor relaxed tipi wedding reception

During the reception, they had a live singer and guitarist, which gave the afternoon a chilled vibe. For the wedding breakfast, they served a hog roast, and it was loved by all the guests. After the wedding breakfast, the guest enjoyed outdoor games and a free bar to the max, then the couple hit the dancefloor and they went straight into the first dance. They also had a couple of fireplaces, which everyone enjoyed to seat around them.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, we wandered around the farm doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from the portraits is when Marie and Tom practised their first dance because it was so much fun.
